Center for Brain Connectome and Behavior

Mission:
We are pushing forward frontiers of technology, such as in vivo recordings in freely-moving animals and optogenetic /chemocogenetic manipulation tools. We are using these state-of-the-art methods to dissect the complexity of brain functions. We are discovering how the brain functional connectivity is altered under a variety of brain disorders and developing new approaches for the diagnosis and treatment to those disorders.

Key research areas:
Investigation of the neuronal circuitry of the innate emotion.
Development of novel techniques for functional brain mapping.
Exploration of the interconnection between central nerve system and peripheral organs such as bone, endocrine systems, immune systmes , gut, and etc.
